Blessed Portion Friday Update

Hello Everyone, I wanted to get out our Friday update before it got too late in the week. This past Friday was certainly one to remember, we actually had about 100 people we were serving/feeding this past Friday along with some good fellowship and prayer requests. I am so thankful for our friends who feed with us on Friday evenings, and not to mention, all of our faithful volunteers who just love to be the hands and feet of Jesus on Friday nights. I would like to thank the Granite Ridge Team for always bringing their “A” game and doing a wonderful job with a great dinner. Everyone except for 1 or 2 folks was in a pleasant mood and we all had some great conversations and prayer time. We had a few of our friends show up that we haven’t seen in several years and they brought a good update with them, making a point to let Gina and I know they are no longer HOMELESS! It is always great to have someone come back to just stop by and bring some good news. Most of the time when they come back and are no longer on the streets they almost look like a different person – somewhat rested and refreshed and no more addiction. God is so faithful and amazing when we turn it all over to him. This is a short message this week but wanted to bring some positive news to everyone. Gina and I are so very grateful for all of our friends and volunteers who come to do this mission alongside of us for the last for the past 12 years. We are so thankful for all of the people around us who support us in so many different fashions. Special thanks to Pathway Community Church, Grace Summit Church, Hamilton Church of Christ, Chris King, Matt & Mandi Yager, Granite Ridge Builders, Hallmark Mortgage , Renee & Joe for making the Best Snack Bags ever, Claudia Wessner, Jacquie Aldrich, Michael Jordan, Gina from Texas and our son Tanner Burns and our daughter Madison Burns.
