Friday Update

Hello everyone, I would like to start out by thanking all of friends who come out and serve on Friday nights, all of you are just AMAZING people and Gina and I are so grateful and blessed to call you our friends. Friday evening started out at the downtown Burger King like it has for the last 8 years, with our group gearing up with grabbing their coffee or getting that late dinner they missed to get a little extra fuel to carry them through the night. This evening, I am not going to talk about the events of this past Friday BUT, I would like to give praise to the individuals who come out and serve with us on many cold, windy, snowing and sometimes rainy evenings. Gina and my praises don't really add up to much BUT Matthew 25:31-40 sure does! So, I would like to remind all of our friends who labor over preparing the meals, who offer up drop sites for us to pick up donations, who give monetary donations, who donate clothing and bedding, shoes, socks, underwear, bottled water and toothbrushes...…. the list goes on and on..... ! I would like to just give you a friendly but uplifting truth and I will close this late post. In Matthew 25:31-40 says " When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on the right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on the right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying , Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you ? And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
