Blessed Portion Friday Update 7-26-19

Hello Everyone,

BIG thanks to Amber Gaskill, Trademark Title, Inc., Lisa Scheer, Dave, for bringing meatballs and pasta, Zianos Italian Eatery bread sticks, muffins, strawberries, gatorade, juice...we had just the right amount and we are so thankful for you all helping make sure our friends had a good dinner!!

It was so nice to see Cierra Braden Schroeder all prettied up for her rainbow photo shoot. She looked beautiful and glowing. Also saw Jeanne and her cute little belly bump-- there is new life coming around November and were excited to see these little ones. Both will have a home and people who love them and that is awesome!!

Also had a good conversation with a friend who shared how frustrated he is. He has been through a lot in his life and tried to take his life...thankfully it didn't happen. He is not happy about not having a job, bad health, and not having his own place.....but thankful he HAS a place to be at. He struggles with anxiety and depression but is also excited to be on the right path with God. Listening to him share what he has gone through is hard, and hard to imagine him trying to kill himself because he is such a great man. Were praying that God will continue to show Himself strong to this man and heal him from the inside out.

Also talked with a friend who shared some family struggles and again...hard to hear. Its hard to hear how a family can tell their own child that they are not allowed to live with them. Not because they are drug addicts or alcoholics, but more because they choose others over their own children. Our friend also shared how they lost the person they wanted to marry and since then life has not been the same. The one person who made them be a better person has been taken away from a car accident. Our friend is special to us and were praying that God heals their heart and somehow shows them how amazing they are.

We went though every blanket, just about every sock and piece of clothing. Thank you everyone for keeping bins full. We will need more shirts this week as we are out of larges and x large. As always we prayed at each stop. Took time to hear praises and requests...God sure is doing some amazing things and its a blessing to be a part of it. We noticed that there are many who are no longer with us on Fridays and that is good....because they now have their own place. It is hard though because we miss them, but understand once a person who has had no place to finally having one...they like to be at home and we can understand that for sure.

Lastly we stopped to see a couple friends and as we said in the earlier picture posting. He had some pretty good scrapes on his arm and hand and thanks to Christina Scheiber for noticing it (in the dark) we were able to help out a little. Something as small as a few band-aids are taken for granted. For me I can get a tiny little cut and run for a band aid. Most of our friends though do not have any (they do now as we left several for them) So as always it is the smallest things we take for granted that are big for others. After we got him all doctored up we sat for about 45 minutes just being with a couple of our friends. We cherish those moments each week- we laugh, pray, listen, joke around and just BE as friends do....

Its a gift to US each week as we learn more about Jesus, others, ourselves and we are so blessed. Thank you to Pathway Community Church, Hamilton Church of Christ, Grace Summit, Trinity English Church, Mjs Apparel, Auburn Massage and Wellness, Mark Jennifer Lynne Diederich Stebing, Sarah Bigelow Lapadot, Christina Scheiber, Michael Casiano, Rose Schiber Gaspar, Claudia Weesner, Renee Eich- Curneal, Jacquie Aldrich, Amber Gaskill, Olivia Ghent, Lisa Scheer, David, and those who donate each week.
