Friday Update

Hello Everyone,

Tonight Toby and his crew from 13th Step House brought bbq chicken, cheesy mashed potatoes, peas, cookies, and water. A very good meal and perfect for the weather we had. So thank you Toby and all your guys!!

We also had some new people from a small group at Pathway and we were happy to see familiar and new faces. We had plenty of help tonight and that is a good thing as well. We were missing have Lance there but he in the last couple of days has gotten his license back, and went to Ohio with Tommy to pick up a car from a family member!!! Crazy in a good way just how far Lance has come in such a short time.

We also got to meet little Zaine tonight. He's a few weeks old and is the son of Michael and Christina and he's adorable. Happy for them as they start a new chapter in their lives. Also was able to see sweet little Eliza...she's so cute and makes everyone smile!

Met a man who was not able to stay in a shelter and needed something to cover up with for the night. We were able to give him a coat, socks, sleeping bag, and a blanket. It's hard when it's 8:00 at night, cold and you don't know where to go or what to do. A friend of ours who knows his way around downtown pretty well helped him out by showing him a place he could sleep for the night that he considers safe.

So all in all we had a peaceful night, everyone was nice and full and walked away with what they needed. Thank you everyone for helping us serve our friends. Currently, we are not in need of any donations as we have plenty and we will let you know when we will resume donations. Please remember we cannot take women's clothing or children's... we have no need for it.

Thank you to Pathway Community Church, Grace Summit Church, Hamilton Church of Christ, Christina King, Cherri and Randy Thomas, Jacquie Aldrich, Toby and his crew, Rochelle, Todd Plimpton, and his group that he brought.

Have a good weekend everyone and remember to ask someone to church and offer to drive them there and back. Maybe even buy them a coffee or lunch afterward.....never know it may just change their life forever and just possibly yours as well.
