friday update
Blessed Portion Update 11-10-17 (Gina was out of town so thus update is written by me Tommy)
Good afternoon all, I would like to start out by saying HAPPY VETERANS DAY to all of the GREAT men and women who have served our GREAT COUNTRY and has provided us our freedom and continues to do so ! So thank you and God Bless You for your sacrifices and service ! I would like to thank everyone who came out last night to serve and to give back and to become the "hands and feet of Christ our Lord and Savior". And who can forget THE GREEK LADIES who always brings a wonderful dinner - and boy did they!!
We were so honored to have brand new friends who came out for the first time last night and WOW what a blessing they were, so thank you Jill Shepherd-Sparks and your ENTIRE small group and all of our other friends and volunteers who served.
Last night our message to our friends was hopefully close to home for everyone at some point and time in our lives, and it was a story and message of the times in our own lives that seem to be tough and discouraging and sometimes even impossible to workout or make it through. The message that we spoke about last night was called " DOWN BUT NOT OUT " and the story started out about Paul in Acts 14:19. " They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead." But just one verse later something miraculous happens: HE GETS UP! When you've been knocked down, do you know how to get back up again? In our message, we addressed this crucial question. As human beings, we are all going to feel defeated at some point in our lives. But as followers of Jesus, we don't have to stay there. Learn how persevere with the help of the Holy Spirit. So grateful to be able to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Pathway Community Church, Grace Summit Church, Hamilton Church of Christ, MJS, Auburn Massage & Wellness Center, and everyone who has dropped off donations at our drop center locations and at our home. Have a wonderful weekend and blessings to everyone !
